Almost a gourmet meal

Schedule is hectic as usual...with classes ending at 6pm almost everyday...its just waayyyy too tiring to cook my own dinner, so i have to resort to eating fried rice/chap fan/fried noodles from the stalls outside vista B. Thank goodness today ended early so i could have a rather healthier home cooked meal. What did i cook today?

Its amazing what you can come up with :

Plus garlic, pepper and herbs. Cheese is optional.

Yup..thats all i used to make this:

salmon "carbonara" pasta

This is cooking made easy.lol...First, cook the spaghetti until its firm but not soggy, al dente.

Drain the pasta BUT keep the water to use it for the sauce later.

Precious pasta water...must keep it!

Now, heat up a pan with littttttttle bit of oil because salmon has its natural oil too..you dont want the dish to be too oily. Cook each side for about 8 minutes each until it turns pale orange.

For the sauce: Mix one sachet of Campbell's instant soup with 200ml of the pasta water while its hot. Stir in some herbs, fried garlic and pepper. Pour the sauce into the pan and simmer with the salmon for a minute or so. When the sauce is at the consistency which you prefer..drench the spaghetti with the steaming hot sauce..and tadaaa...there's dinner!

Bon apetit!
